4.) Forum Posting

If the forums is a do follow one, add links in your signature, add links to your blog from within your forum posts if the site / article related. 5.) Buy Text Link Ads
This method can be a bit expensive, but will help you a lot! You can buy links on site of your choice. Buy links only on sites related to your site topic, otherwise the links won’t be of any use!

What I do not like the link exchange is, every time they can remove our link without notice. So I prefer to blog commenting because it is more natural and sometimes also bring traffic

I agree with Shashant, I don’t really believe that google wants to see your bought links. They want to see “natural” links, not just 100 links trown out there a day. Yes, they will link and it looks like it will be good, but google won’t recognize them as a solid permalink. They want to see links that are not all identical. Your 4 other methods are ones that I have used over and over, but I would not advise buying links. : )

To be honest I am only comfortable doing 1-4. Some people use robots to click on paid links and that is going to screw you.
I don’t know if I’d ever go the paid traffic route. I prefer article writing or blog commenting. Not only do you get to express your ideas and share them with others, you’re providing the blogger with content and getting backlinked all at once.

For me, guest posting is the best way to get quality backlinks and traffic. It also appears to be the hardest thing as well, but they say nothing worth having comes easy…
Buy a link will be the last option for me because it seemed not liked by google, besides as you mention above blog commenting is the easiest way of getting backlinks

I have got one blog to PR3 within two months and all of it has been done by blog commenting. I think this is the easiest and time convincing thing to do. Again there are some hype- like you are not sure how much longer the links will exist.
